Michael G. Maida Profile

Mr. Maida is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Civil Circuit Mediator who has maintained a mediation practice since 1995. He has mediated more than 10,000 cases and mediates approximately 350 cases per year. He currently mediates disputes involving personal injury, hurricane claims, work related injury, first party and bad faith claims, discrimination claims, contract disputes, construction claims, and business disputes. He previously litigated claims in these practice areas and has also litigated multi-million dollar bid disputes.

Mr. Maida has chaired and lectured at a number of programs sponsored by the Florida Bar and other professional organizations on alternative dispute resolution issues. He was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Statewide Nominating Commission with respect to the appointment of Florida Judges of Compensation Claims. He has appeared in all levels of trial and appellate courts, including the Florida Supreme Court, and is admitted in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. In addition, he has served as the agreed upon sole arbitrator in a number of personal injury disputes.

Mr. Maida was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1984. He received his B.S. Degree from Florida State University in 1981; and his Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Florida State University in 1984.
